Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Frenza (“Frenza”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Frenza website at frenza.app and the Frenza mobile application (together, the “Service”). Frenza is operated from Türkiye.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information

When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your password — it is managed securely by Firebase.

Learning and usage data

To power features like your streak, level, and spaced-repetition review schedule, we store your learning progress (which phrases you have studied, your mastery levels, review dates, XP, and settings such as language and audio speed). For signed-out users this is stored only in your browser (local storage). For signed-in users it may also be stored in our database so your progress syncs across your devices.

Purchase information

When you buy a product or unlock premium content, we store a record of your purchase and entitlement (what you bought and when) so we can give you access. Your payment card details are handled by our payment provider, not by us (see Section 4).

Device and analytics data

Like most websites and apps, we automatically collect limited technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate region, pages viewed, and interactions. We use this to understand usage and improve the Service. See Section 5 for the analytics and advertising tools we use.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account;
  • To save and sync your learning progress across devices;
  • To process purchases and grant access to premium content;
  • To respond to your questions and provide customer support;
  • To analyse usage and improve our features and content;
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues;
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service and your account), your consent (for non-essential cookies, analytics, and advertising), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), and legal obligation (to keep records we are required to keep). You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Payments

Payments for premium features and digital products are processed by our third-party payment provider, which acts as the Merchant of Record for these transactions. When you make a purchase, the payment provider collects and processes your payment and billing details (such as name, billing address, and card or wallet information) directly, under its own privacy policy. We receive only a confirmation of your purchase and limited billing details needed to provide the product and support — we do not receive or store your full payment card number.

The identity of the payment provider and a link to its privacy policy are presented to you on the checkout page before you complete a purchase.

5. Cookies, analytics & advertising

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to run the Service, remember your preferences and progress, measure usage, and (where applicable) show advertising. We use:

  • Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics — to understand how the Service is used and improve it.
  • Google AdSense — to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
  • Essential local storage — to keep you signed in and to save your learning progress and settings. This is necessary for the Service to work.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage Google's ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Disabling essential storage may prevent parts of the Service from working.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as needed to run the Service:

  • Google (Firebase & Google Cloud) — authentication, database, hosting, and analytics.
  • Our payment provider — payment processing as Merchant of Record.
  • Google AdSense — advertising delivery.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Frenza, our users, or others.

7. International data transfers

Our providers (including Google and our payment provider) may process and store your information on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data retention

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to provide access and to meet legal and accounting obligations. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or similar laws), you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@frenza.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party websites (for example our social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
